KIA – 10 March (ca 1943?)
While I worked on a few more of the b&w pics, I noticed there are at least 2 pics with men (I assume they are male) who are wearing the face masks like I see people from Japan wear today. For some reason, I thought this was a more modern practice and did not expect to see [what I think is] a civilian wearing a mask. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
Also, although the pics never turn out as clear as I would like them to be, I was very happy to have a photo of a geisha, even if I can’t see her very well.
